COUNTRY CLUB VILLAGE
Country Club Village is located on 14 acres in the Salt Lake area of Honolulu. The property is adjacent to a golf course, a stream and a park. The approximately 833,000 sq. ft. development is comprised of five buildings with 590 two- and three- bedroom units, and two parking structures surrounded by landscaped courtyards and low hipped roofs with deep eaves. The five buildings include three four-story buildings, one twenty-one story, and one sixteen story building.
Country Club Village was Schuler Homes' first high rise residential development and project utilizing concrete construction. The project utilized Daewoo Corporation's multi-room modular construction system, a system of prefabricated concrete dwelling units that are stacked one on top of the other using cranes. Utilizing this method of construction, the project was completed in two years.
The project received an AIA Excellence award and a Grand Award from the American Consulting Engineers Council in 1995.
