CM&D is committed to efficient project cost and schedule management and adherence. Windows Software, Microsoft Project, Prolog, and Primavera are used to monitor and track all projects.
MS Project and Primavera generate Gantt timeline charts, PERT charts and Critical Path schedules for each project based on individual task entries for the project. Detailed in-house and sub-consultant tasks are entered in the system. The inter-dependency of tasks and potential lead and lag times for each task are also entered.
Prolog, in conjunction with its web based function, ProjectTalk, is a tool for automating everyday project management functions and tracking the project from design to closeout over the Internet by accessing Prolog project applications on a subscription basis. Key features of ProjectTalk include:
- multi-site, multi-project control
- manage project documents and data from design through construction administration
- project documentation such as meeting minutes, RFI's, submittals, action logs, drawings
- control, distribute, monitor and track project documents
- field administration through daily reports, inspection and test logs, compliance notices, punch lists
- cost control through tracking project budget and project costs
- purchasing control through tracking of all activities that need to be completed before a bid is submitted or before contract award
- various reporting functions
- generation of queries and reports to match any set of criteria
- online project collaboration amongst project team members
- security for each feature
Schedules, critical path schedules, task reports, and resource allocation reports are provided to clients, their consultants and contractors periodically throughout a project's duration, and upon request at any time, to facilitate communication and efficient processing.
